Eco-Friendly earrings created from marine plastics. Earrings with a conscience!
Want to do your bit for our planet, but don’t have the time? Maybe you just want to do something that’s more personal? How about advocating for no plastics simply by wearing some?
These ethical earrings are a statement piece you can wear as a way of promoting the dangers of plastics.
By wearing a fashion statement piece created out of the very materials which threaten our environment, you too can do your bit for our planet.
Handmade from hard plastics collected off local beaches along the Sunshine Coast, these have been carefully crafted and made with love.
These earrings aren’t exactly the same, or match each other. They are, after all, pieces of discarded man made waste which is breaking down. Though they are a pretty turquoise in colour, a slight covering of white shows how the plastic in these earrings is degrading and breaking down.
We dare you to wear our marine plastic earrings and help us educate and spread the word!!
Our ethical earrings made from recycled marine plastics are a one off fashion statement.
Collected off our beaches, marine debris, including discarded fishing line, ghost netting, marine rope and also hard plastics are all used in making our ethical earrings.

What are these Ethical Earrings Made From?
We have predominantly used hard plastics along with new stainless steel findings. Washed up on our beaches, each piece of marine debris we use has been hand collected, cleaned and finally arranged to create this unique one off piece.
All the plastics we collect are at different stages of deterioration and therefore crumble, split or crack. This makes it a challenge to both work with and to also keep the plastics from breaking down further. For this reason, we try to only use plastics which are hard and a bit more resilient. We can’t guarantee they won’t chip a bit however, but this is part of their story and what makes each piece unique and one off.
Why Do You Make Earrings from Man-made Marine Debris?
Deliberately used in making these ethical earrings are materials which threaten our environment. We make each piece of jewellery in a creative way to act as a vehicle for carrying a message as well as prompting awareness. Using pieces of plastic without disguising or changing them allows us furthermore to showcase our message.
Raising awareness of the impact of plastics on our environment is above all why we use these materials the way we do.
