Mermaid Bangle From Discarded Marine Waste
We have made this mermaid bangle from discarded marine waste by recycling pieces of discarded frayed nylon marine rope and threads from a cast net, all of which have been cleared off local beaches.
Encased in clear resin the pieces of frayed, stained and washed out rope gives this one off bangle a distinctive style.
By adding in a scattering of tiny sea shells as a contrast to the synthetic waste, we have produced a bangle which showcases marine plastic pollution in an unconventional way. Dressed up in a fashionable piece of wearable art, this is our creative approach to an ugly issue.

Incorporating discarded pieces of marine rope and bits of cast netting, all collected from local beaches, this bangle showcases man made sea debris waste.
