A Necklace Made With Marine Rope And Debris.
We hand made this necklace with marine rope and debris using discarded marine debris, including marine rope for the necklace and a frayed nylon rope and pieces of hard blue plastic for the pendant. Collected from our beaches and waterways, marine debris, including the rope used in the necklace, along with the marine micro plastics and frayed nylon rope are also the key components in this necklace’s makeup.
An Necklace With A Message.
Recycled marine rope makes up the necklace’s cord and also forms the foundation for this unusual piece of ethical and wearable art. Added to this is a pendant with frayed nylon marine rope and pieces of hard plastic encased in clear bio resin with swirls of blue translucent dye. The frayed, stained and noted rope which forms the necklace tells its own story about the power of the ocean waves and currants.
The bio resin pendant also has hand carved waves in the back to add to the effect of waves and currants within our seas and oceans.
This necklace also brings her own personal touch to your fashion accessory wardrobe.
She is a lightweight and durable piece which furthermore won’t scratch or itch.
Caring For Your Necklace
Pendant: Wipe with a soft cloth and store out of direct light when not worn, as all resins will eventually yellow slightly when exposed to UV.
Necklace : If marked or soiled, gently hand wash in cold soapy water. Do not submerge the stainless steel ends in warm water as this may soften the glue used to hold the rope in place inside the cap ends.
