I’ve decided that technology and I have an uneasy relationship. This is based on the fact that I have limited knowledge of how it works and what I can do with it. The fact that I’m wired for creative thinking that doesn’t always follow a step by step, logical process doesn’t help either.
In my first attempt to model how to wear my new wrap design, I started by setting up my camera on its tripod, made sure I had new batteries in the camera, pressed the record button and stepped in front of the camera to begin my modelling career.
I got half way through my third way to wear the wrap when I noticed the monitoring screen had gone blank. Camera had run out of memory!
No worries – I took it inside and downloaded the video onto my computer. OMG !! I looked old, my hair was sticking out and I looked grumpy. No smiles!!! Was I really that wrinkly and fat?? I figured I may be able to fuzz my face out and use part of it, so downloaded it anyway.
While I was at it I decided to delete several unwanted videos to free up more memory so I could do another shoot with me smiling at least.
Job done, I went outside again to re shoot the video and to smile.
I put the camera back on the tripod, stepped in front of the camera to begin again and noticed after 5 seconds that the monitor had gone blank again. This time the batteries needed changing.
Right – I hate technology, I’m definitely NOT model material and I’m NOT smiling.
Anyone out there want to model for me??
PS – Have now resorted to filming with my mobile phone. Why didn’t I think of that before? Quick, easy and no problems with memory or batteries!! Life is now good again.
